The 2009 MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) took place at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City, and was hosted by British comedian Russell Brand. On the Red Carpet, the variety of fashion choices were astounding. Country singer Taylor Swift wore a elegant silver dress as she proudly took her first moon man award for Best Female Video. And, who can forget the double take of Shakira and Pink arriving in the same ultimate fashion faux pas dress?
The most shocking outfit selection was from Miss Lady Gaga. One of the most talented female performers today, she stole the show with her unique and bold statement wardrobe. When she arrived on the red carpet, she wore a Victorian-style dress with feathers, a golden mask straight out of “The Phantom of the Opera” and a golden neck brace and layer of gold tone fashion jewelry necklaces.
Beyonce decided to go for a lavish look in her short, ruffled, and very low cut dress, which was accessorized with oversized silver hoop earrings and bold colorful bangles. Her charm and class matched her stunning personality. We can all learn a thing or two from the angelic Beyonce.
