Color Never Gets Old

Every time I take a trip to the bookstore I go straight to my favorite section: the art section. The art section posses a large selection of collection in areas of fashion from presence to the past, photography with inspiriting images, and latest graphic design technology trends. I always looked forward in discovering the bright colors sending beautiful message of the latest fad to readers. Fashion never gets old especially the new millennium that occurred a few years ago.

The year of 2009 as took a step back into the past with the ballet flats with the tight skinny jeans adding the popularity of vintage bangles to Breakfast at Tiffany’s. The pop culture is getting bigger with an increasing variety of fashion categories emerging from the past. What in store for the next millennium? Is the world of scientific-fiction stories will come alive as authors predicted in their books of flying cars and alien neighbors. Or this cycle of repetitive styles of the vintage age continue to rise.

Yet, the bookstore led me to my answer. A fashion book called “How to Be a Hepburn in a Hilton World: The Art of Living With Style, Class & Grace” By: Jordan Christy which discussed about maintaining old fashioned virtues in a modern world with some helpful guidelines about her own experience about some fashion advice in all aspect of life. Another book is Pantone fashion Color Report Spring 2009 trends straight from the fashion industry during the New York Fashion Week with ideas about the hottest spring trends. This report is a list of the most popular colors that designers are using their spring collections. I believed colors is never going to get old. Understanding Pearl Luster

Eternal Sparkles monthly campaign has arrived for the month of May. Our theme is Sea Jewel Pearl Jewelry event. We are promoting our finest pearl jewelry in stock. Pearls symbolize the purity and rarity for beauty. It no surprise people like they are the best gift to give to anyone for any occasions. Yet, we hardly ever find a pearl in our oysters at a restaurant. Not to go off topic but I’m hungry. I loved eating raw oysters with soy sauce and lemon juice they are absolutely delicious.

Objects of beauty, pearls have been around for centuries. For example, wealthy aristocrats are marvel in paintings of wearing the finest style of pearl necklaces and earrings. Even though today, pearls are not valued as much as gemstones they are determined by a combination of the luster, color, size, lack of surface flaw, and symmetry. The significant attribute is luster to definitive the quality of the pearl. The shapes of the pearls come in eight basic shapes. Perfectly round pearls are the rarest and most valuable shape. Semi-round is use for necklaces or in pieces. Button is slightly flatted round pearl made for a necklace, a single pendants or earrings. Drop and pear shaped are sometime called teardrop pearls. Baroque has a different appeal because they are irregular which is best to make unique and interesting shapes. Circled are characterized by concentric ridges place on rings or around the body of the pearl. Jewelers classified pearls base on the grade of the color of the pearl. The most popular are white and black saltwater pearls. There are other colors such pink, blue, champagne, green, and even purple saltwater pearls. However, to complete a perfect string of the same size, shape, and same shade of color can take years.

Here is a video about understanding more about pearl luster from Jewelry television (JTV) on YouTube.

Tips for Wearing Your Jewelry

What should I wear? Is the first question on every girl's mind when they’re in a hurry who doesn’t have the time of day to ponder what outfit match with a specific jewelry item. I always have this issue wearing my necklaces with my floral outfit when I’m going out.

My jewelry box is filled with fashion jewelry such as rings, earrings, necklaces, bangles, and many more that I purchased from flea markets. The preference style I wear ranges from vintage to boho-chic. A broad range of different things it’s good to be artistically unique from the rest of world yet, sometime it could be a bad thing. Once in awhile, people would look at me funny and stared wondering what kind of fashion statement I was portraying. Then just after a couple of weeks later I see someone else wearing the same outfit. The messages get by pretty fast.

According to Gem-fashion.com a fashion and jewelry magazine expert can give some advice and tips for those who want to follow the current trends during the seasons. Discussing how to mix and match with clothing and the bling-bling base on your over measurements. So, you won’t end up looking all wacky like me on the third street promenade in Santa Monica. Happy blogging everyone!

Tips for Wearing Your Jewelry

The immaculate sense of style is not necessarily something that you should be born with. It is brought up consciously, developed by paying attention to the ocean of current fashion trends where you find something that suits your looks, personality and lifestyles. Creating your own style is not a “bed of roses”. This road can be full of faux pauses and trials. But those who want to be a success in this venture are destined to success. It‘s a piece of hard work, let’s face it, unless you have your personal make-up artist, clothes and hair-stylist at your hand 24/7. But the award of realizing that you look and feel great is worth of all the efforts. Nobody is perfect. And we can’t control what Nature has given to us. But everybody can make the best over him/herself, learning to be beautiful and express the unique individuality that is within.

Since jewelry is fairly considered to be that very special thing that both gives that necessary finishing touches to our looks and boosts our good mood as well as self-esteem, let’s exercise in wearing jewelry. If you are not always sure what gems suit you best, or what to wear in a particular occasion, it’s never too late to learn…Well, where the jewelry is concerned, the basic criteria are your Age, Height and Build.

Earrings

If your height is equal to that of the current fashion standard and besides you can boast of having a fine swan neck, don’t hesitate to wear long dangling earrings. They look especially good in a company of smooth hair. If, in contrast, you are petite and not too high, your friends are small earrings that will not look like weights on you. Chunky “button” earrings esp. with a gem are fabulous on a plump lady with lush hair-style. Rings Rings are the piece of jewelry so much preferred by many women both for its aesthetic value and symbolic meaning. Slim diamond rings are commonly worn on a ring-finger. Never put on 2 or more rings on the same finger. Rings with a gem of more than 10k are usually worn on a fore-finger. Besides, the best option for young ladies with slim arms and fingers is something adequate- a small exquisite 2k ring. BraceletsBracelets are worn only on the right hand. If it consists of some segments without a gem in the centre, wear it loose on your arm. And, conversely, if a bracelet is adorned with gems centering it, don’t let it dangle on your arm.

Brooches

Brooches are very much in fashion today. Well, to put it right, brooches are everywhere this year. Again, young girls choose small-sized ones. Single “flowers” or something like that are worn on the left side, 10-15cm below the shoulder or at the collar. Massive brooches can serve as the collar links. Best of all, diamonds match one-colored dresses, preferably - a black one. But in case there are some plain buttons on your dress, the brooch should be 5-7cm. higher. You can fold a light scarf and pin it up with the brooch. You want something extravagant - wear the brooch on the waist line, provided the design of your dress doesn’t object to it. Never wear diamond brooches on the coat collar, on denim or leather jackets. Neither it can be a good company for casual, knitted or sports clothes.

Necklaces and pendants

As far as necklaces and pendants are concerned, the major dilemma is whether to wear them with high-necked or low-cut dresses. The liberty of your own decision is well within the limits of good taste. Experiment - and decide what works best for you. And, finally, let’s work out how we can combine different pieces of jewelry. If you have a jewelry set, consisting of a bracelet, ring, necklace and earrings, follow the next principle ‘earrings+ bracelet”, “necklace+ ring”. Avoid wearing more than 2 rings at a time. It looks too excessive. As far as diamonds go, this gem is predominantly for evening wear.
